Business Development Representative

We are working with a fantastic technology brand who are a leading edge data protection and disaster recovery solutions company. They are looking for a Business Development Representative (home based) in the UK to cover North UK area.

They are offering a competitive commission-based package with uncapped earnings potential for the right candidate.

We’re looking for extremely motivated self-starters interested in working in a fast-paced sales environment. The Strategic BDR function is a hunting role focusing on Mid-Market/Small Enterprise level business, working closely with the field Sales team.

Essential to success in this role is a keen ability develop new mid-market customer opportunities by penetrating new customers within your assigned territory and working with field sales through the sales process. It is a consultative engagement whereby you will be taking time to fully understand your client’s needs and aspirations before then offering a relevant solution.

The successful candidate will be given full training and support to help develop their skills and the ability to grow and further career development in a dynamic and fast-growing company.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Contact prospective customers by using the CRM tool, via business directories and other sources to build target lists.
  • Contact new prospects via phone and email to discuss their needs and to position how their needs could be met by specific products and services, before working with the field sales team to a close
  • Build key relationships and nurture contacts
  • Develop a solid understanding of the products and stay up to the minute on both industry trends and internal product development.
  • Ensure qualification targets and revenue objectives are achieved on a quarterly basis.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Ability to work in a high-energy, dynamic sales team.
  • Previous Sales/Business Development and technology industry experience essential
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player
  • A results oriented attitude
  • An interest and knowledge in technology and be excited by fast moving technology
  • Self-starter and self-motivated.
  • The desire to build a lucrative sales career within IT/Tech
  • Ability to build strong relationships with prospects and have strong communication skills

Education and/or Experience

· 1 or 2 years’ experience of outbound sales/customer facing sales development

· High level of education or related sales/business development experience
